Stitch It Up! workshops

My name is Becky Emlaw and .....I love colour. I think that is where my initial love of clothing and fabric came from. I feel like I`m still learning to tame the colour in my life. I am figuring out to control and manipulate it better, that being said i still choose to let loose once in a while.... . Let your freak flag fly, I say! The Vintage clothing game has taken over my life recently. But it's not just clothing, it's everything. I believe we live in a special time where ideas from previous decades surround us and we get to mix and match and pilfer from those times. I love it. I just love it. Like travellers roaming in a caravan, pick it up, mix it up and call it your own.

stitch it up! wednesday workshop

Stitch it up! Is a FREE Wednesday evening workshop from 6:30 to 9:30 at my sewing studio in The Mile End. The aim of this weekly workshop is to encourage you to create, rework or mend your own clothing.
This is your chance to learn how to sew or to put into practice what you already know. Maybe you have some tricks of the trade that you can share with the other attendees. All skill levels are welcome.
I have been sewing for about 10 years and have and received my D.E.C. (Diplôme d'études collégiales) from L’École des métiers des Faubourgs (http://www2.csdm.qc.ca/Faubourgs/home.html) in 2008 for Pattern Design.
I am a co-ower and clothing designer at Arterie Boutique & Friperie. (http://arterieboutique.blogspot.com/)
I have been living and working in Montreal since 2003.
If you have any further question about what we do at the Wednesday night workshop please feel free to write me at vintagetogo@gmail.com.
Hope to see you soon,

Becky
